2015 TIM HORTONS FIELD FOOD & HOSPITALITY STAFF

Imagine working at the all new and exciting Tim Hortons Field this summer. Levy Restaurants, the legendary leader in the food and Hospitality industry provides premium quality services to major entertainment sports venues.

 2015 TIGER-CATS CO-OP INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

Location:  Business Office & Tim Hortons Field -Hamilton, Ontario

Contracted Time: 4 month or 7 month co-op internships available (May 4 to September 4 OR May 4 to November 27)

Hours Required:
40 hours per week + all 2015 Tiger-Cats home games at Tim Hortons Field.

MISSION STATEMENT 

The mission of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats co-op program is to educate its participants in all aspects of operating a professional sports organization. Through observation and practical experience, co-op students learn how to function in a professional environment that requires a high energy level, the ability to perform under pressure, show initiative in discovering new programs and the utilization of essential time management skills. Through these developments, the Hamilton Tiger-Cats strive to successfully prepare those within the placement to compete for positions in today’s competitive career marketplace.

REQUIREMENTS

To qualify for a co-op internship with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, all participants must be enrolled in a co-op program, in which they receive school credit for their time spent with the Tiger-Cats. All candidates are required to have excellent interpersonal skills, communication and organizational skills, computer skills as well as a serious interest in the field of the placement for which you would like to be considered.

APPLICANTS

Applicants for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats co-op program must be hard working, dedicated, self-motivated individuals who can function productively in a challenging environment.  In addition to your assignments during the regular work week, students are required to participate in executing all 2015 Hamilton Tiger-Cats home games. Co-op placements will run for 4 months (May-August) or 7 months (May-November) depending on department.

COORDINATOR, MULTIMEDIA

The Tiger-Cats are currently seeking a creative, technically savvy team player for this full-time entry level position. The Ticats are looking for someone to assist in the creation of high impact segments for Ticats TV and our gameday videoboard show. You must be an enthusiastic, upbeat person willing to learn and go deep to complete a project on a deadline. You will be required to work all home games and other events as they occur.

Knowledge & Skills

• Video production procedures and principles (shooting, lighting, editing).
• Mastery of After Effects, Premiere, Illustrator, Photoshop.
• File compression, codecs, graphics manipulation.
• Knowledge of professional television production equipment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced live broadcast control room.
• Comfortable in a Mac environment.
• Ability to troubleshoot audio and video equipment.
• Remain current on editing trends and technology advancement.
• Basic knowledge of CFL football.

Responsibilities

• Operate audio and video equipment.
• Interact professionally with players and clients to produce desired video piece.
• Perform post production tasks: logging footage, creating graphics, colour correction, audio editing,
special effects, compressing video, uploading, DVD authoring.
• Gameday playback operation.

Education and Experience

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a video editing environment while demonstrating competence in all areas of video production. A background in video/animation from an accredited institution would be appropriate.

CUSTOMER ASSISTANCE TEAM - GAMEDAY STAFF

Summary: The Hamilton Tiger-Cats are looking for energetic, passionate, and dedicated individuals to join our Customer Assistance Team (C.A.T. Team) in one of our numerous roles as the official game day ambassadors of Tiger-Cats Football. Successful applicants will join our Team in providing world-class guest experience throughout the 2015 season at Tim Hortons Field in Hamilton, ON.

Those selected for an interview will be considered for the following roles:

  • Ticket Takers
  • In-Bowl and Concourse Ushers
  • Guest Services Staff
  • Game Day Retail Staff
  • Promotions Team


Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Meet and greet all guests with a friendly and helpful attitude
  • Be personal and proactive in providing top notch customer service and hospitality
  • Retain an extensive knowledge of the team, Tim Hortons Field layout, key venue attractions, seating sections, key venue personnel identity, and emergency procedures
  • Work in a variety of weather conditions, including the possibility of inclement weather

  • Passion for football, the CFL, the Tiger-Cats, and the Hamilton community
  • A commitment to make a difference through world-class customer service for all guests
  • An ability to work well under pressure, while remaining calm in all situations

C.A.T. Team Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must be able to stand for 3 consecutive hours
  • Must be able to work 90% of Tiger-Cats events (includes playoff games, concerts)
  • Must comply with all Tiger-Cats personal hygiene and grooming guidelines


Staff will be provided with:
