TIGER-CATS SIGN CANADIAN RB DARYL STEPHENSON
Hamilton, Ontario – The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced today that the team has signed Canadian running back Daryl Stephenson.
“Daryl is a solid Canadian player who can contribute on special teams and add versatility to our offensive lineup,” said General Manager Bob O’Billovich.
Stephenson, a 6-2, 228-pound native of London, Ontario, has played 29 games over three seasons with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers after being selected in the third round (15th overall) of the 2008 CFL Canadian Draft.
Prior to turning pro, Stephenson enjoyed an illustrious CIS career at Windsor that saw him accumulate the most rushing yards in CIS history (5,163) and win a Hec Crighton award as the top player in Canadian university football in 2006.
